Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan
BORODAVKIN Alexey Nikolayevich

 

Born in 1950.

1973 – graduated from the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Has a command of English and Chinese.

Started his career in 1975 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.

1999-2002 – Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Fourth CIS Department

2002-2004 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Slovakia

2004-2008 – Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE

2008-2011 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation

2011-2018 – Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva

Since February 7, 2018 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan

Has the rank of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation.

Decorated with government awards.

Married, with three sons and four grandchildren.
